Meet The Troupe

Kati Schwartz (Chana)

Kati Schwartz (she/they) is an actor and playwright who was raised in Putney, VT (Putney Central Class of ’03, The Putney School class of ’07). She currently lives in New York City. Kati’s audio play, Bad People, is currently available on Audible and in paperback, and was an Amazon best seller for four months straight. Her play, The Coward, won the 2017 New York New Works Festival, and was a semi finalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, 2017. Her play She Got Off The Couch premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2016 where it received the Producers Encore Award and was extended twice. Other plays, including The Whale Play and Caring for The Dead featuring original music by For You The Moon, have been produced Off Broadway (The Duke Theater), as well as at theaters such as Dixon Place and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Favorite acting credits: The Wolves (Studio Theatre – Helen Hayes Award), August: Osage County (The Fulton Theatre), “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”; Season 5,” “Lars Shrike Walks The Night” (starring alongside Kelsey Grammer – Coming out September 2023).

Sarah Hogewood (Halina)

Sarah Hogewood (she/her) Off Bway: Aussie Song. National Tour: A Christmas Carol, Magic School Bus; Fun Home, Xanadu. Passionate about the development of new works, Sarah has originated over a dozen roles and has performed across the US and in Dubai. She will perform in her own play “Leading Lady Club” this summer Off-Broadway at 59E59, and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. NYU Tisch. Thanks to her family!

Marissa Ruben (Lemml)

Marissa Ruben is an actor, writer, and filmmaker. A believer in physical comedy, Marissa has spent the bulk of the pandemic making critically acclaimed comedic short film, Don’t Say Vagina!, and subsequently her short Death Death, which is now being made into a feature film. Theater credits include: ALIEN/NATION (Williamstown Theatre Festival), The Last Hunter (Williamstown Theatre Festival), YANKEES (Corkscrew Theater Festival), Romeo and Juliet (NYU’s The Classical Studio), The Merchant of Venice (NYU’s The Classical Studio), Runaways (NYU’s The New Studio on Broadway), Crimson (Playwrights Horizons). B.F.A. from NYU Tisch: The New Studio on Broadway, The Classical Studio, The International Theater Workshop.

Abigail Lumsden (Vera & Violin)

Abigail Lumsden (she/her) is a New York City-based pianist, violinist and vocalist. She currently produces and performs her interactive concert show, "Heart's Journeys" all over the U.S. and Holland. Abigail toured with the popular children’s music theater show “Kwaaie Moeders” (“Crazy Mothers”), and she music directed both “The Me Nobody Knows” and Frances Key’s award winning “Aussie Song.” Abigail Lumsden’s music and videos can be found on YouTube, Facebook, Spotify, CD Baby, Bandcamp, iTunes and Apple Music.

Miles Eichenhorn (Mendel)

Miles Eichenhorn (he/him) is over the moon to be doing such an important piece in a fantastic town! Recent credits include: Broadway Rising Stars at The Town Hall Off-Broadway; Pippin and Six Degrees of Separation at NYU Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway (Class of 2022); Doctor Glas: A Musical Play at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center. Caroline McPherson (Clarinettist)

Caroline Lace McPherson (she/her) is a recent graduate of NYU/Tisch School of the Arts Department of Drama’s New Studio on Broadway, and is thrilled to be a part of Indecent. University credits include Terry (Stage Door), Theo and Assistant Music Director (Pippin), Ensemble (This is A __ Story), Witch (Macbeth). She also is the composer/lyricist of the new musical Tarot. Isaac Wellhausen (Avram)

Isaac Wellhausen (he/him) is so humbled by this production of Indecent and excited to present such an important piece of theatre to a community like Putney. Isaac is a BFA musical theatre performer from Ball State University and recently moved to New York City to pursue his dream fully. From cruise ships to touring the country, Isaac loves performance. Love to his mother in Heaven.

Ellie Handel (Director & Choreographer) • she/her

Ellie is a director, stage manager, actor, and educator. Directing credits include My Fair Lady (2nd Nat'l Tour, Asst. Director), Aussie Song (NYTF Best Direction Nom), 90 in 90 (Teatro Latea), As You Like It (NYU Tisch). Off-Broadway credits include Emojiland at The Duke (Sub PSM), Rescue Rue (PSM), The Great Cat Massacre (AD, u/s Pam/Henri), and Endangered the Musical (PSM, u/s Janie Goodall). She holds a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch's New Studio on Broadway, where she is honored to work alongside Charlotte as an adjunct professor. Love always to her incredible family. Charlotte Seelig (Lighting & Production Designer) • she/her

Charlotte Seelig is a native of Calais, VT. Primarily a lighting designer, favorite credits include: The Scarlet Savior, #adulting, a millennial opera (Off-Broadway), Confianza (La MaMa), Gun & Powder, Danny and the Rocket (Tisch New Musical Theater Workshop), The 39 Steps, Shakespeare’s Will (Lost Nation Theater). Charlotte is also an adjunct professor at NYU, where she co-teaches a class with Ellie and designs productions at the New Studio on Broadway, recently including Bandstand, Pippin, and Cabaret. Charlotte is always thrilled to bring the work she loves home to Vermont.

Nicole Gentile (Costume Consultant & Associate Producer) • she/her

Nicole is a New York City-based actor, singer, and director. Most recently, she was in the Southern California Regional Premiere of Lizzie, the Musical (Bridgette Sullivan) at the Chance Theater. Proud graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts New Studio on Broadway. Directing credits: Rent (Assistant Director, dir. Kenneth Noel Mitchell), Bare (Assistant Director), Saints and Sinners (Director, initial workshop). J Hahn (Production Stage Manager) • they/them

A Performer, Director, Stage Manager, and Makeup Artist. They recently performed in NYU Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway productions of Pippin as Pippin (Dir. Wendell Howlett); Head Over Heels as Pamela (Dir. Francine Torres) and Macbeth as Macbeth (NSB Sophomore Projects, Dir. Stephanie Weeks). They were also in Tarot as Tarot Reader, a student-run production they co-wrote. Stage Manager credits include Steinhardt’s Doctor Glas: A Musical Play; NSB Freeplay’s The Ladies Room; NSB’s Cabaret (Dir. Kent Gash) and Bad Hombres (Dir. Francine Torres). IG: @jhahnjchillin.
